Horse Show Rules

1. Classes are open to 4-H members and youth up to age 18 in Worcester, Somerset and Wicomico Counties. If you are not from the listed counties, but would like to participate, please contact Kirby Collins at 410-632-3329 to check for availability before the show.

2. An ASTM approved safety headgear is required by all riders. All riders must wear boots or shoes with a heel. "Show Clothes" not required.

3. All classes are open to English and Western riders.

4. Negative Coggins is required for each horse entering in a class. They will be checked upon entering by a show steward or manager. 

5. Worcester County Fair & the Town of Snow Hill, its agents/representatives/stewards will not be held liable for injury to participants or horses.

6. All dogs must be leashed.

7. Judges/officials decisions are final.

8. Entry fee is $5.00 per class or $25.00 (ride-all-afternoon) for 4-Hers and $30.00 for open youth.

9. Ribbons and premiums will be awarded for each class. Each division will have a Champion and Reserve Champion. "Ride a Buck" will not be included in the championship. The points are based on the participant, not the horse.

10. Classes may be split or cancelled depending on number of entries at the show manager’s discretion.

11. Any questions arising that are not covered by these rules will be handled by a show steward or manager.

12. Registration will be held one (1) hour prior to the show.

13. Martingales are not allowed to be worn in "Flat" classes.

14. All times are subject to change due to participation.

15. Classes 2015-2018 are team classes. These classes require two riders. To qualify for Champion and Reserve Champion Division, the same two riders must compete together throughout the division.
